The 19” Turbo wheels are mounted with 235/35 front and 305/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires showing 2006 date codes. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded six- and four-piston front and rear calipers over ceramic-composite rotors measuring 13.8″ at each corner. The car is equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as well as Porsche Stability Management (PSM) with an automatic brake differential (ABD).
The cabin features heated power-adjustable front seats upholstered in black leather that extends to the dashboard and door panels. Features include a sport shifter, carbon-fiber trim, auto-dimming mirrors, driver-seat memory settings, Porsche Communication Management with navigation, a Bose sound system, a remote six-disc CD changer, automatic climate control, and cruise control. An integrated radar detector has reportedly been added.
The carbon-fiber multifunction steering wheel frames a central tachometer and a 225-mph speedometer as well as gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The optional Sport Chrono Package added a stopwatch atop the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates 3,500 miles.
The twin-turbocharged and intercooled 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six was factory rated at 480 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. The Sport Chrono Package allows the 997.1 Turbo to overboost for up to 10 seconds, increasing peak rated torque to 505 ft-lb.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. The car is also equipped with a mechanically locking rear differential.
