The 997 Targa 4S features a sliding glass roof panel and wider rear bodywork compared to the standard Carrera, and this example is finished in paint-to-sample Nordic Gold Metallic. Additional equipment includes integrated fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and polished exhaust outlets. The Carfax report shows a damage claim due to a non-collision event in July 2017 in addition to a second damage claim the following month due to a collision that resulted in damage to the right front. Paint protection film has reportedly been applied to the front of the car. Paint chips and a crack on the lower portion of the front bumper cover are shown up close in the gallery below.
Factory 19” Turbo wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 235/35 up front and 305/30 at the rear. Braking is handled by red Porsche-branded four-piston calipers over 13″ cross-drilled and vented rotors. The car features a MacPherson strut front suspension with a multi-link LSA rear setup, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).
The cabin features heated and power-adjustable front seats upholstered in black leather along with matching carpets protected by Targa-embroidered floor mats edged in orange. Carbon-fiber trim accents the shift knob, parking brake handle, steering wheel, and door pulls. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, Bose audio, PCM with navigation, self-dimming mirrors, and cruise control.
White-dial instrumentation includes a central 8k-rpm tachometer and a 200-mph speedometer as well as gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. A stopwatch is mounted atop the dash as part of the Sport Chrono Package Plus. The digital odometer indicates 35k miles.
The 3.8-liter flat-six features VarioCam Plus variable valve timing and was factory rated at 355 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. A revised throttle map and recalibrated engine management system are part of the Sport Chrono Package Plus.
Power is routed to all four wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle. The selling dealer notes a Gundo exhaust modification has been performed, and additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery.
