The Pininfarina-designed 612 Scaglietti was the first V12-powered Ferrari to move from steel to aluminum-intensive construction in conjunction with Alcoa. This example is finished in Grigio Silverstone (740) and features xenon headlights, optional Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, heated mirrors, tinted windows, rear parking sensors, and quad exhaust outlets. The seller reports that the front bumper, fenders, and hood are covered in paint protection film and that the car received a ceramic coating application in June 2022. Blemishes beneath the front bumper along with paint meter readings are shown in the gallery below. Paintwork on the rear bumper was performed in 2008.
Modular 19″ wheels were included as part of the Handling GTS Package, which also added an adjustable sport-tuned suspension. Michelin Pilot Sport All Season tires measuring 245/40 front and 285/40 rear were mounted in 2022, at which time the front wheels were straightened. Braking is handled by silver-finished calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated rotors. Replacement TPMS sensors were fitted and a brake fluid flush was performed in January 2022.
The interior features heated and power-adjustable Daytona-style front seats upholstered in Cuoio leather with gray inserts and stitching that extends to the center console, doors, rear seats, and lower dashboard, while the upper dashboard is trimmed in gray leather. Interior appointments include aluminum trim accents, dual-zone automatic climate control, power windows and door locks, a leather-trimmed parcel shelf, an MP3 adapter with aftermarket Bluetooth capabilities, and a Bose infotainment system with navigation. The seller notes shrinking along the edges of the dash upholstery, wear on the driver’s seat, and sticky surfaces on various buttons. The headliner has been removed as shown in the gallery below.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts column-mounted shift paddles. Instrumentation consists of a 220-mph speedometer and a yellow central tachometer with a 7,400-rpm redline as well as a configurable digital display. The digital odometer indicates 21k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.7-liter DOHC V12 was factory rated at 533 horsepower and 434 lb-ft of torque. Service performed in January 2022 involved a coolant flush, servicing the air-conditioning system, and replacement of the timing belt, camshaft cover and intake manifold gaskets, drive belts, air filter, battery, coolant temperature sensor, and spark plugs. An oil change was carried out in July 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed electro-hydraulically actuated sequential transaxle with a full-automatic mode. The GTS package included a sport exhaust system and sport transmission tuning. A transmission fluid flush was performed in January 2022.
Manufacturer’s literature, two keys, a brown leather document holder, service records, a Ferrari North American owner’s event award, and a car cover are included in the sale.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Continental Autosports and lists factory colors, equipment, options, and a total suggested retail price of $304,886.
