The car is finished in Guards Red and is equipped with factory flachbau bodywork (M505), a package that featured pop-up headlights, vented front fenders, side strakes, and extended side sills. Additional equipment includes a black convertible soft top, fog lights, and dual exhaust outlets. The soft top motor does not work and the selling dealer notes a misaligned left door.
The 16″ Fuchs wheels feature body-color centers and are wrapped with 205/55 front and 245/45 rear Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires mounted in May 2021. Braking is handled by four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated discs. The rear sway bar end links were replaced in May 2021 and the selling dealer states that the CV boots were replaced in April 2022.
Power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in black leather and are complemented by a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include driver’s seat lumbar support, air conditioning, an analog clock, a Pioneer stereo, and power windows. The air-conditioning system was converted to R134a refrigerant in May 2021, at which time the right-front seatback release lever was also replaced. The selling dealer notes that the left sun visor does not remain folded on its own.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,700-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, fuel level, and boost pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 65k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. The engine and turbocharger were resealed and the air injection pump was replaced in July 2017, while May 2021 service included replacing the ignition module, fuel accumulator, and drive belts. The selling dealer reports that the oil cooler was resealed and the oil thermostat, valve cover gaskets, and oil switches were replaced in April 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle that records indicate was rebuilt in January 2022, at which time the clutch components were also replaced.
