Rust was repaired in the rear corners of the bed sides, and the underside of the bed was refinished by the seller. Polished 15″ wheels are mounted with 31×10.50″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. When the body was removed from the frame to refurbish the chassis, a Battle born F-350 brake booster and master cylinder kit were installed along with Thunderbird front brake calipers and a rear disc-brake conversion kit. The steering linkage was replaced, and the front axle utilizes manually locking hubs.
The Explorer-trim bench seat has been reupholstered in red with patterned multicolor cloth inserts, and the red carpeting was replaced. A RetroSound Bluetooth stereo is fitted in the factory location, and two 8″ subwoofers have been installed behind the seat. Cracks are present in the dash and on the stereo surround, and blemishes are noted on the ashtray door.
A two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of an 85-mph speedometer surrounded by four auxiliary gauges, and a tachometer has been added to the column. The five-digit odometer shows 88k miles, approximately 3k of which have been added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The fuel-injected Coyote 5.0-liter V8 is said to have been sourced from a 2011 F-150 and received Mustang-specification camshafts and exhaust headers as well as replacement timing chains and an oil pump before being installed. The seller notes that the exhaust has no catalytic converters.
Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and an NP205 dual-range transfer case. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
