Rally II 15″ wheels wear PMD center caps and are mounted with 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. A jack and full-size spare are mounted in the trunk. The car is equipped with variable-ratio power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in Medium Bright Blue vinyl joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, headliner, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a floor-mounted Hurst shifter, Pontiac-branded rubber floor mats, lap belts, and a Delco push-button AM radio.
The three-spoke Formula steering wheel frames an engine-turned instrument panel that houses a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an integrated clock as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and battery voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 77k miles.
The 400ci V8 is said to have been built to Ram Air IV specifications and features a replacement Ram Air IV intake manifold, cylinder heads, and exhaust manifolds as well as a Rochester four-barrel carburetor and chrome valve covers. A dual exhaust system with a single muffler is installed. Powertrain stamps and casting number images are shown in the gallery.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle. The transmission and rear axle were reportedly rebuilt during previous ownership.
An owner’s manual and tank sticker as well as PHS documents including a reproduction order sheet, vehicle options sheet, and production data are included in the sale.
