The car is finished in red and is said to have been repainted previously. Features include quad headlamps, a pillarless roof design with retractable side windows, a black vinyl top, a vented cowl hood, bright finished trim, fender vents, chrome bumpers, dual-outlet exhaust, and SS427 badging. Paint blemishes are shown in the gallery. The seller notes that the vinyl roof cover is bubbling on the right side, both rear quarter panels have been patched, and there is skim coat filler covering the repair work.
The 15″ steel wheels wear Chevrolet-branded covers and are mounted with 235/75 Hankook Optimo H724 narrow whitewall tires. Braking is handled by unassisted drums at all four corners.
The cabin features front buckets and a rear bench seat upholstered in black vinyl with a matching dashboard, carpets, and door panels. Equipment includes a heater and defroster, shoulder belts, a center console, a Muncie shifter, and vent windows. The radio does not work, the headliner is sagging, and the rear windows require assistance to move. The left front seat cover is torn.
The SS427 badged steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The steering wheel is cracked. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 13k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The L72 427ci V8 is said to have been rebuilt and features a Holley Street Dominator intake manifold and four-barrel carburetor as well as replacement oval-port cylinder heads. The seller notes that the engine was reportedly detuned for unleaded fuel use.
The engine code and serial number are shown above.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission and Positraction 12-bolt rear axle. Corrosion is visible on underbody components.
The initial purchase paperwork, Protect-O-Plate, and owner’s manual are included in the sale.
