The car was delivered new in Sebring Silver (941) and was refinished in its current red shade during the 2002 refurbishment. Features include a one-year-only split rear window, ventilated fenders, rocker-panel trim, and chrome-finished split bumpers.
Turbine-style 15″ spline-drive wheels are mounted with three-ear knockoffs and are wrapped in BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. The selling dealer reportedly replaced the front brake hoses and the front wheel cylinders.
The interior features black vinyl upholstery on the bucket seats, and the black carpeting extends to the rear cargo area. The three-speed shift pattern is displayed both on the shift knob and adjacent to the shifter on the console. The weatherstripping was replaced during the refurbishment two decades ago. The Delco-branded AM radio is inoperative.
A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline, auxiliary gauges, and a clock in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 47k miles; true mileage is unknown.
The replacement 327ci V8 is said to have been rebuilt before being installed and reportedly utilizes cylinder heads from a 1968 engine. The selling dealer replaced the spark plugs and fuel pump in preparation for the sale.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels though a three-speed manual gearbox. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
