Staggered-diameter 14″ and 15″ turbine-style wheels were recently mounted with 195/60 front and 235/60 rear Hankook Kinergy ST tires according to the selling dealer. The car is equipped with four-wheel independent suspension and power-assisted disc brakes all around. Records show the rotors were resurfaced and the brake calipers and master cylinder were replaced in 2013.
The seats are upholstered in black leather, and the contrasting gray carpeting is protected by black DMC-logo mats. The R12 air-conditioning system was recently serviced according to the selling dealer, and additional amenities include power windows, central locking, a tilting and telescoping steering column, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. The seat covers, headliner, weatherstripping, and passenger seat knee bolster were replaced in 2013.
A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of an 85-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles, approximately 130 of which have been added by the selling dealer. The instrument binnacle was recovered in 2013.
The rear-mounted 2.85-liter V6 was jointly developed by Peugeot, Renault, and Volvo and features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. In 2013 the fuel system was serviced and the water pump, coolant hoses, and thermostat were replaced. The selling dealer notes that a stainless-steel coolant reservoir has been installed along with stainless-steel fuel lines.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle, and a stainless-steel hydraulic clutch line is said to be fitted. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
The window sticker shows selected factory options along with a total price of $26,175. Accompanying sales paperwork indicates that the car was sold new to an owner in Columbus, Ohio, on October 1st, 1981.
Manuals and service records will also be included with the car.
