The body is finished in black (41U) with silver IROC-Z graphics. Exterior features include include integrated fog lights, front and rear spoilers, hood louvers, rocker panel extensions, body-color side moldings, removable glass T-top panels, and a power antenna.
Factory 16” aluminum wheels wear IROC-Z center caps and are mounted with 245/50 Goodyear Eagle VR50 tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin houses bucket seats that are trimmed in gray cloth with light gray piping and “Camaro” embroidery on the backrests, along with color-coordinated dash, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, a Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, electric windows and locks, cruise control, and an overhead storage compartment.
The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames a 145-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset oil pressure gauge, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows just under 4,500 miles.
The 5.0-liter V8 features Tuned Port fuel injection and was factory rated at 215 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. Work performed in 2022 includes replacing the battery, fuel pump, and sending unit, flushing the fuel tank, and cleaning the fuel injectors.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Borg-Warner five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A rust-preventative undercoating was applied in 1987 when the car was new. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Martin Chevrolet Warren, Ohio, as well as factory colors, options, and a total price of $19,270.
