The forged 19″ RS Spyder center-locking wheels are mounted with Pirelli P Zero tires measuring 235/35 up front and 305/30 out back. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded six- and four-piston calipers over ceramic-composite rotors measuring 15″ and 13.8″ front and rear, respectively. The car is equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as well as Porsche Stability Management (PSM) with an automatic brake differential (ABD).
The cabin features heated and ventilated 12-way power-adjustable front seats upholstered in black leather that extends to the dashboard and door panels. Aluminum-look trim accents the interior and additional features include auto-dimming mirrors, driver-seat memory settings, a Bose sound system, automatic climate control, cruise control, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation. This example was optioned with illuminated stainless-steel Turbo S-branded door sill guards.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel is equipped with paddle shifters and frames a central tachometer and a 225-mph speedometer, as well as gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The Sport Chrono Package added a stopwatch atop the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates just under 4,100 miles.
The twin-turbocharged 3.8L flat-six features direct fuel injection, VarioCam variable valve timing, and dynamic engine mounts. It was factory rated at 530 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transaxle. The 997 Turbo S featured Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) and a mechanically locking rear differential as standard.
